Again an act of  adventure for usual peoples and just a  routine for small kids residing near the palam(bridge) ie walking under the valiyathura bridge is of great fun for the,city-born and brought up guys who may wonder with the activities done by the school kids, mostly hanging over the plastic rope after jumping from bridge and again getting back to position by hanging over the rope and getting to the chathurangam like concrete construction underneath the bridge.Interesting thing is that when i was  walking underneath the bridge four kids studying in 8th,6th,5th were taking a quick rest for the next take i asked them whether the rope is strong so that 80kg wil be held by it,but interestingly those guys asked me brother do you swim?it made me very angry and i just jumped in that dress itself..I drowned and some fishermen were pouring with foul words but it was not a surprise for me who was well experienced with these sort of acts from college itself ...........






 Here the shape of valiyathura bridge is given infact this bridge was used for frieght and fishing,that impression of the tram way lines are now also visible.Proper time to spend here is in the late nights but for family they can spend between 5pm-6pm,the salty breeze which has got a high thrust may even push to  sea or even take off  your clothes,the scenery every body must see is during the late night  you can see the whole ocean is electrified with street lights,but the fact is that like mirage it is the lights of boats which has gone for fishing...

FROM SHANGUMUGHAM GO AHEAD TOWARDS THE DOMESTIC TERMINAL OF AIRPORT....INFRONT OF THE AIRPORT DOMESTIC TERMINAL JUST TAKE DEVIATION TOWARDS RIGHT....THE ROAD IS NOT SO FINE...SMALL BUMPS ARE THERE WITH OUT SIGN BOARD INFRONT OF FCI GODOWN...GO AHEAD ALMOST ONE KILOMETER YOU REACH THE DESTINATION....


THROUGH NH BYPASS DRIVE GO TO KALLUMOOD JUNCTION WHICH IS AFTER EENCHAKKAL..THERE IS A TRAFFIC ISLAND TURN RIGHT FROM KALLUMOOD JUNCTION GO AHEAD STRAIGHT WITHOUT ANY DEVIAATION...YOU CAN ALSO SEE A NARROW PONNARA BRIDGE AND IF YOU ARE TRAVELLING BY BIKE WAIT THERE FOR SOME TIME NEAR THE BRIDGE ..YOU CAN SEE THE LANDING OF AEROPLANE SO CLOSELY THAT NO OTHER AIRPORT GIVES...ITS ALSO A RARE VIEW FOR BOTH CHILDREN AND GROWNUPS...

Starting itself  is a silent slanting hilly ridge with a little people living through out the road sides,mostly rubber plantation and you can see the Trivandrum city to sea-lines from the destination  through the main trunk and branches of rubber tree,when you travel  by bike in between 2-4 pm the cool breeze gives you excitement to body and mind and this place is not fit for family since there i have seen the broken pieces of wild variety of beer...for the sake i must say if families craze of visiting this place should go before 4 pm.The main attraction of this place is nothing but rock climbing,risk factor is high when you climb along the rocks.I must say i am a little crazy about this and what i did was simply climbed the rock without any help,but those who have a hatch back and blasting belly should think twice before entering to lower layer of rocks, otherwise standing at the top is a bit enlightening to  mind and body.So i prefer most peoples to stand at the top row of rocks.There is a temple also situated nearby...

MADAVOORPARA TEMPLE AND TOURISM

Those who like to explore the out skirts of Trivandrum city must visit this place.Describing the place i must say there is a Hindu Temple and  opening of Nada will be in the  morning and evening only,so for making rituals the worshipper should go by morning or evening.those who like trekking must visit the place in between 4.15pm and 6.45pm-since the Bamboo Bridge will be opened by security officials by these time only.I must say for those who like to spend one or two hours for mind refreshment should take a bike and go to this place where the govt tourism department has made two shelters for spending time and it is made of bamboo in  hexagonal shape seating arrangement.First is below the bamboo bridge(Bridge made of strong bamboo- a bit higher from the ground level and ends up in the second shelter where you can see technopark and even the seashore,provides a good ambiance along with the cool breeze)

   FROM KAZHAKOOTAM RIDE TOWARDS VETTU-ROAD(SIGNAL)---GO AHEAD TO VENJARAMOOD BY TAKING DEVIATION FROM VETTUROAD SIGNAL-----GO AHEAD TO KATTAYIKONAM---BEFORE REACHING KATTAYOKONAM MARKET U CAN SEE THE ROAD SIGN --A ROAD TO SREEKARIYAM---GO RIGHT TO SREEKARIYAM ROAD--U CAN SEE  (U.P SCHOOL KATTAYIKONAM)...GO AHEAD- LESS THAN HALF KILOMETER ---THERE IS A BOARD WRITTEN MADAVOORPARA SHIVASHETRAM..DRIVE  LEFT ALMOST 200 METERS YOU REACH THE NADA---PARK THE VEHICLE RIGHT THERE..
                       
                                                          A narrow passage with a gate,there will be a security personal  sitting and ask him..he will give guidance and another security personnal is sitting over the hill,you should ask him for getting in to Bamboo Bridge.
